With its own famous Nanya vineyard growing some 22 different grape varieties and with access to fruit from contract growers in the local area as well as from other major quality grape growing regions, Angove’s is able to produce an enormous range of premium wines. From relatively uncomplicated 'everyday quaffing wines’ to intensely flavoured and complex premium varietal wines, Angove’s applies the science of wine-making to a process that ensures that the end result - the wine in the bottle - represents outstanding quality and value to the consumer. For its own-grown grapes, this process begins in the vineyard, where the numerous viticultural regimes that determine yield and fruit quality are carefully managed with the end wine style in mind. For contract grape growers Angove’s can provide an advisory service that assists in deciding vineyard management issues. Once the fruit is received at the weighbridge it is crushed and pressed before continuing its way through the various winemaking processes that utilise the latest in technology and equipment. All wines in the portfolio receive the utmost care and thoroughness, but the top quality premium wines are lavished attention that is seldom seen outside the smallest 'boutique’ winery. The result is that Angove’s premium wines compete more than successfully with wines not only from Australia but from right around the world. As well as marketing its own-produced premium wines, Angove’s represents a number of other companies as agents for sales and distribution in the Australian market place. The companies selected for such representation have been very carefully chosen because they are producers of unique wine styles, or are based in specific viticultural regions. From a marketing standpoint this enables Angove’s to present a very wide cross-section of premium wines to the market, covering an extensive range of varieties, styles, geographical regions, and price points.
