Trapiche Medalla Malbec 2014
Wine AdvocateThe 2014 Medalla Malbec is a new addition to the Medalla range. It's produced with grapes from a multitude of vineyards in the classical zones of Mendoza, Perdriel, Ugarteche, Agrelo, Vistalba and Lunlunta fermented in cement vats and matured in new French barriques for one year. This is surprisingly fresh, from a label that used to be only Cabernet Sauvignon and is now a whole range. This is a juicy, classical Malbec with volume that is sourced from zones rich in clay that provide for round, fleshy wines with polished, glossy tannins. This is very pleasant, clean and easy to drink. 80,000 bottles produced.
