Wolffer Rosé 20172015 was a fantastic growing season on Long Island and the driest on record. This made for healthy, aromatic and concentrated fruit, ideal to make great wines. We specially selected different vineyards and lots for our gold-label Rosé; choosing the perfect time to pick this iconic wine is crucial to maintain vibrancy, freshness and elegance. The fruit was carefully harvested, starting early with Merlot on September 14, 2015, to capture and protect the delicate flavors necessary to make this special Rosé. Chardonnay and Pinot Noir followed, then the Cabernet Franc and finally the Riesling, Vignole and Cabernet Sauvignon on October 8.
