Looking first at the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ava Grace, which is a blend of 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 15% Merlot, it has a ripe, full-bodied, up-front and supple style as well as a great nose of ripe currants, jammy blackberries, tobacco, toasted spice, and chocolate. I don't think it will make old bones, but it is one ripe, sexy, opulent wine that still stays fresh and lively on the palate and is certainly a joy to drink today. It should evolve for 10-15 years.

The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Ava Grace is rich, juicy and voluptuous, with pretty floral and spice notes that give the wine perfume as well as nuance. Even in the early going, the 2018 is looking very promising. Lavender, sage, mint, blueberry and graphite add complexity with time in the glass.
